Matt Constantine is an electronic, classical and contemporary composer and cellist working primarily with film and new media from his base in west London. He trained at Trinity College of Music in London and has composed for picture in many forms from audio-visual live shows to international feature films. His work has been shown in cinema, on television, on national radio and on stages across the world. Matt has worked with some of the top UK production companies and had music published by EMI and other publishers. Previous comissions include the Film Freestyle in partnership with Film London and Revolver entertainment, Channel 4 documentaries ‘The Complainers’ and ‘Kid Criminals’ and also various other music placements in assorted TV shows. Previous clients include Dragonfly TV, Plum Pictures, Endemol and Shine groups, Film London, Creative England, Revolver entertainment.
He is also an active international performer who has played venues of all sizes from the Sydney Opera House to the Bandshell in Prospect Park New York City. He has played or recorded for a number of artists including Suzerain, DJ Tigerstyle, Nathan ‘Flutebox’ Lee, Drugstore, Shelly Bonet , and has played in support to acts including Franz Ferdinand, Talvin Singh, Asian Dub Foundation, Trilok Gurtu and many others. Matt also is an active recording session player, recording ‘cello for many high profile projects including the artists already listed but also for many media applications including adverts, TV shows (such as the current Sky Flagship drama ‘The Five’ for the composer Mike Jennings) and an upcoming game by Creative Assembly for the composer Ian Livingston.
