About Matt

Matt Constantine is a composer, cellist and virtual instrument developer working primarily with film and new media from his base in west London. He trained at Trinity College of Music in London and has composed for audio-visual shows, films and Primetime television. His work has been shown in cinema, on television, on national radio and on stages across the world. He has premiered works by Sir John Tavener (live on Radio 3) and Lorne Balfe (as a duet with the composer). 

Matt has worked with some of the top UK production companies and had music published by EMI, BMG and other publishers. Previous commissions include the Film Freestyle for Film London and Revolver entertainment, Channel 4 documentaries ‘The Complainers’ and ‘Kid Criminals’. He has also had many other music placements in assorted TV shows across the world. Previous clients include Dragonfly TV, Plum Pictures, Endemol and Shine groups, Film London, Creative England, Revolver entertainment.

He has played in venues across the world. Highlights include Sydney Opera House, The Albert Hall, The Barbican, Prospect Park in NYC, Esplanade Park in Singapore. Artists he has played for include SuzerainDJ TigerstyleNathan ‘Flutebox’ LeeDrugstore, and Shelly Bonet. and he has played in support to acts including Franz Ferdinand, Talvin Singh, Asian Dub Foundation, Trilok Gurtu and many others.

Matt also is a highly in demand recording session player.  He has recorded cello for  adverts, AAA games such as the Total War Series, Apex Legends and Multiversus, feature films Achoura and 97 minutes and many short films, trailers (including Star Wars Jedi Survivor), primetime TV dramas including Doctor Who on the BBC, Sky drama The Five, Channel 4s Humans and various documentary series. 

Matt Constantine is also a virtual instrument developer who makes instruments for Native Instruments Kontakt.  He specialises in cello based sample libraries which he sells through his company It’s All Noise but has also released percussion, Drum and piano instruments through his company and also as a developer for other Virtual Instrument companies such as Strezov Sampling.
